Quality medical care has become more accessible for 460 rural settlements in Kazakhstan

Access to medical care for residents of rural areas has improved in Kazakhstan. Over the past year, new medical centers and outpatient clinics have been built in 460 villages as part of the "Modernization of Rural Healthcare" program. Now villagers can receive quality medical care without leaving their villages.
For example, in the village of Bazartobe, located on the left bank of the Ural River, previously they had to go to the district center for treatment, and getting there was especially difficult in winter. Thanks to the opening of a modern medical center, residents no longer have to leave their village. Here they can undergo examinations, take tests, and receive physical and radiation therapy. According to local doctors, the new infrastructure will improve the quality of life of rural residents. One of the villagers noted that with the new equipment and conditions, this medical center cannot be compared with the old one, which was in an unusable building. In the West Kazakhstan region, 36 such facilities were opened in a year, and 14 more are planned to be built by the end of this year. The outpatient clinics are equipped with the latest technology, which makes it possible to provide a wide range of medical services right on site.
Karaganda region has also actively joined the implementation of the national project. In 2024, 14 new medical institutions were built here. In the village of Karakuduk, for example, the long-awaited feldsher-obstetric station replaced the old premises, where patients were previously received in cramped and uncomfortable conditions. Now the medical staff works in warmth and comfort, using modern equipment. Residents do not hide their joy: the new conditions make both the work of doctors and the lives of villagers easier.
North Kazakhstan region also did not stand aside. In the Kyzylzhar district, 8 medical facilities appeared last year, seven of which are feldsher-obstetric stations. In the village of Kondratovka with a population of about 500 people, the construction of a new building cost 133 million tenge. Now residents receive medical care without having to travel to other settlements. In total, 38 primary health care facilities were built in the region in a year, and this work will continue. At the national level, it is planned to complete the construction of another 195 medical institutions by the end of the year, and 32 district hospitals will be completely renovated and equipped with modern equipment.
